Obituary

Livius Larry Nandrea, 92, of Franklin, NC, died at Northeast Georgia Medical Center on April 14, 2026, of multiple organ failure.

Larry was born February 17, 1934, in Vrsac, Yugoslavia, to the late Elza Levoai Nandrea and Michael Nandrea Jr.

He immigrated to America at age 15 months with his parents through Ellis Island. They settled in Denver, Colorado.

He began his working career at age 11, delivering the weekly Denver Monitor and later the Denver Post. After graduating from West High School, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War.

He attended Colorado State University and later graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Finance.

He began his professional career at Public Service Company of Colorado, in the Engineering Department. He then worked for 23 years as Vice President and General Manager at Stonehouse Signs Co in Arvada, Colorado.

In 1995, he retired with his wife, Ann Teague Nandrea, to the family farm in Franklin, North Carolina. There, he learned to operate farm equipment and they successfully produced hay for nearly 30 years.

Larry was a man of integrity and incredibly wide-ranging skills, who appreciated nature as well as machines, and loved his family deeply.

He was predeceased by his daughter Wendy and his sister, Norma (Ken) Campbell. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ann; his daughter Lorri and son-in-law Steve Sill; cousins Gene Nandrea and Anna (Tony) Plute; nieces and nephews Laura Hardin, David (Kim) Campbell, Kathy (Roc) Bubel, and Shelly Campbell; and many good friends. All are left with fond memories and broken hearts.

A gathering in honor of Larry will be held at Macon Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 21, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Ashes will be interred at Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, at a future date.
