Linda Kay Hays Yates, 77, of Franklin, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, July 27, 2023.

Mrs. Yates was born in Fresno, CA; she was the only child of the late Ralph H. Hays and the late Helene Seidel Hays. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert G. Yates, and a son, Jeffrey Martin Yates.

Before retiring and moving to Franklin, NC, she worked for the Clerk of Court in Dade City, FL, as an Administrative Secretary. After moving to Franklin, she volunteered at the Smoky Mountain Pregnancy Center and became very active at Franklin Truth Church. She loved spending time with her family and helping to take care of the children from her church. Mrs. Yates was always so caring and compassionate; always looking after everyone else's needs.

Linda is survived by a daughter, Laura Foster of Mineral Bluff, GA; two sons, Chris Yates of Springhill, TN, and Billy Yates of Fernandina Beach, FL; ten grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be 11am on Saturday, October 7 at Franklin Truth Church. Pastor Burtt Johnson will officiate.
