Linda Ann Wallace Joyner, age 80, of Franklin, NC, passed peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
Born in Harnett County, NC, Linda was the daughter of the late Willie and Ina Rose Wallace of Benson. She was also preceded in death by her twelve siblings.
Linda earned a doctorate in Psychology and Christian Counseling and lived a life devoted to faith, service, and creativity. She was a beloved member of Restoration Church in Franklin, where she was active in the ladies' group and many church ministries. She also shared her heart and wisdom through teaching and speaking with the local Women's Aglow, and for 10 years she sang joyfully with Mountain Voices Chorus.
A gifted creator, Linda found joy in knitting dishcloths for friends and family and in sharing her artistic talents through floral design. She was named Designer of the Year by the North Carolina State Florists Association (NCSFA). For 13 years she owned Ferrell's Florist in Durham, NC, and later brought her artistry to April's Florist in Franklin.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Sanford Clyde Joyner; her children: Lynn Kline (Kirk) of Franklin, Aliya Trinity of Galax, VA, and Sherri Croom (Thomas) of Tallahassee, FL; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by countless friends and is now joyfully resting in the arms of Jesus.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held on September 6 at 10am at Restoration Church in Franklin.
