Linda Kay Hanford Hanshell, 71, of Franklin, NC passed away on January 3rd, 2024, after a courageous and lengthy battle with an undisclosed illness.
Born on February 15th, 1952, in Williamsport, PA. Linda was the daughter of William Frederick Hanford and Mildred Hanford. Linda grew up in the Williamsport, PA area and attended the local schools later graduating from Southwestern Community College with honors.
Linda last worked at the Macon County Senior Services. She was passionate about her animals, baking, and spending time with her family.
Joining in reunion with her late husband, Raymond Hanshell, Raymond passed away on June 21st, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her son William Ray, William passed away August 1978. Linda is survived by her loving children, Catherine Hope Rhoden (Gregory Rhoden), Christina Marie Dioses (Fabio Dioses); Grandchildren, Allen Ray Rhoden, Jaylinn Bessie Marie Rhoden, Aaliyah Dioses and Fabio Dioses. Linda will be remembered for her generosity, devotion to her family and quick-witted quips to help lighten a mood. The absence of Linda Hanshell creates a profound void in our family, one that speaks to the deep love and bond we shared. Linda was one of the most selfless people you could ever meet, she would always go out of her way to take care of others, even at her own sacrifice. There will be no public service.
