Linda Gail Anderson Welch Elliott, 70, of Franklin, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

Linda was born in Highland Park, Michigan on May 8, 1953. She was the daughter of the late Robert Tommy Anderson and the late Carole Newton Crone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Furman Elliott. Linda was a member of Coweeta Baptist Church. She loved to volunteer at Otto Elementary school and later at South Macon Elementary school. She was affectionately known as the "Alphabet Lady".

Linda is survived by her two children, John Welch and wife, Lisa, and Lora Duvall and husband, Mike, all of Franklin, NC; two brothers, Mike Anderson, and Steve Anderson; and six grandchildren, Anthony Duvall, Ashlee Welch, Karissa Duvall, Israel Jackson, Tanner Welch, and Kaitlyn Duvall.

The funeral service will be at 2pm on Saturday, January 27, in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Davis Hooper will officiate. Burial will be in the Coweeta Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
