Lila Lee Emery Klatt, 81, of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

Born in Miami, FL, she was the daughter of the late Alford Wooly Emery and Minnie Lee Perdue Emery West. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Alford Klatt, Sr.; one granddaughter, Amber Klatt; one great grandson, Dakota Williamson; and one brother, Bill Emery. Lila was a member of the Red Hat Society, she enjoyed planting flowers, gardening, and loved jewelry. She was a nurse and the co-owner of the family business, Ruby City Gems.

She is survived by her children, Al Klatt, Jr. of Franklin, NC, Kevin Klatt of Franklin, NC, Cindy Klatt of Franklin, NC, Laura House of Chapel Hill, NC, and Michael Klatt of Asheville, NC; one sister, Mary Blalock of Canton, NC; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

The Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, January 27, at 6pm in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 6pm, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family will be making a donation in their mother's memory to Children's International.
