Lauren Nichole Phillips, 36, of Franklin, NC, formerly of Asheville, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 8, 2024, after an extended and courageous five year battle with breast cancer.

Lauren had a great love for all living things- including plants and animals. She spent every minute possible outside taking in the splendor of nature- whether it be caring for her plants, hiking, or tubing with friends on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

If Lauren was indoors, she was found enjoying good food, painting, or crafting something from nothing.
Having a special knack for gift-giving, Lauren could always choose the perfect gift for those she loved. She loved big and she loved without bounds. Her love for others and her infectious personality were a true gift from the Lord. Lauren loved pink and sparkles, which truly matched her personality.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack Ledford, Sy Phillips, Cheryl Phillips. She was also preceded in death by her fur baby, Monkey.

She is survived by her mother, Alice Phillips; siblings, Rachel Mathis (Matthew), Ericka Evers (Ryan), Jaden Phillips; grandmother, Edith Ledford; nieces, Oaklyn, Berklee, and Navy Evers, Harleigh and Hazleigh Mathis; nephew, Brantley Mathis; aunts Diana Ledford, Father Charles Jerry Phillips (Jeanne), aunts, Debi Phillips, and Susan Phillips.

Numerous cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends at Macon Funeral Home on Monday, August 12th from 5-6pm. A service will follow visitation at 6:00 P.M. in the Chapel.
