Laura Jane Allbright, 78, passed away on June 8, 2026, in Franklin, North Carolina. Born on September 6, 1947, she was the daughter of John and Frances Demid Smith.

Laura was a devoted member of JupiterFIRST Church in Jupiter, Florida, where she worshipped and built lasting friendships during the ten years she lived in the Jupiter area. She found great fulfillment in caring for her family and friends and dedicated countless hours to volunteering at local food banks. Laura was known for her kindness, generosity, and compassionate spirit. She enjoyed life's simple pleasures, including reading, shopping, and birdwatching. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Miami-Dade County Public Schools for 25 years, where she was known for her dedication, warmth, and steady presence before retiring.

Above all, Laura cherished her family and took great pride in being a mother, grandmother, and friend. Her loving nature, gentle spirit, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew her.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her two daughters, Charlene Allbright and Angie Fischer (Scott); her beloved grandchildren, Jacob Fischer (23) and his fiancee, Aspen (23), Jordan Fischer (21), and Eli Allbright (13); and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A Memorial Service celebrating Laura's life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at JupiterFIRST Church, 1475 Indian Creek Parkway, Jupiter, Florida 33458. Following the service, family and friends are invited to stay for a luncheon and share memories, stories, laughter, and love in honor of Laura's life.
