Obituary
Steven "Larry" Hurst, 67, of Franklin, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023.
Larry was born to the late Iredale and Birdell Lowe Hurst in Macon Co, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Fred Hurst, Lyndon Hurst, and Irene Dowdle. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He enjoyed the mountains, outdoors, fishing, and had to always be moving.
He is survived by his special friend, Victoria McCurdy of Franklin; brother, Danny Hurst of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Sue Thompson of Franklin, Bea McCracken of Dallas, GA, Freda Pressley, of Waynesville, NC, and Barbara Post of Austell, GA. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, June 7, at 2:00 pm, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm, one hour prior to the service. Randy Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in the Liberty Baptist Church cemetery.
