Kenneth Wayne Waldroop, 68, of Franklin, NC, went to his heavenly home, surrounded by his family on Monday October 20, 2025.
Born October 11, 1957, in Marietta, GA, Wayne was the son of Kenneth and Betty Lou Waldroop. He was an avid camper and deer hunter. His dry sense of humor always had his family and friends constantly amused. The two loves of Wayne's life are his wife Linda, and his four-legged constant companion, Ivy.
Wayne was employed by Larry (Grub) Sheffield, Rabun Mills, and then he worked at Rudisill Pump Service. Wayne then transferred to the Macon County School System, where he worked for many years before retirement.
Wayne is survived by his wife Linda Waldroop; brothers, Ricky Waldroop (Julia), Chuck Dorling (Carin); mother-in-law, Patsy C. Smith; and an extended family of nieces and nephews
Wayne was preceded in death by his father and mother, Kenneth and Betty Waldroop, and his daughter, Heather Nicole Waldroop.
The family wishes to extend our deepest appreciation for the compassionate and loving care the staff provided at Macon Valley Nursing and Rehab Center.
A celebration of life and homegoing for Wayne will be a graveside service at Snow Hill Methodist Church Cemetery on Friday, October 24th, at 1pm. All family and friends are welcome to attend. Rev. Sarah Fouts will officiate
