BRYSON CITY - Keith Noil Maddox, 80, went to be with the Lord on Friday July 24, 2026.

Born in Rebecca, GA, he was the son of the late, Webster Carter Maddox and Frances Keen Maddox.

In additon, he was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Adams Maddox, sister-in-law Lacy Maddox and brother-in-law Jerry Luther Adams.

He is survived by his children, Nathan and wife (Nancy) Maddox of Franklin and Tonia Maddox Edwards of Whittier; grandchildren, Savanna and Sarah Maddox of Franklin and Samuel Edwards of Whittier; brother Rodney Maddox of Wake Forest and his children, Maria, Marina and Cristina; great-nieces, Alympia and Lara all from Raleigh; sister-in-law, Kay LeQuire Adams of Creedmoor and her daughters and their families; niece, Connie Adams (Rodney) Boone and their daughters, great-nieces, Erin Casey Boone (Lee) Wyatt with one son, Bennett Boone Wyatt; great-niece, Renee Dawn (Dustin Walters) Boone; niece, Dawn Adams (Curry) Adcock and their children; great-niece, Kerri Adcock (Matt) Black and their children, Vera Grace (Kurt) Black, great-nephew, Stuart Lee (Harli Sam's) Adcock with one son, Jerry Han Adcock all of Creedmoor; and friends too numerous to name, whom Keith loved and cherished as his "own”

He attended Almond Elementary and graduated from Swain County High School in 1964. Keith was a business owner in the Nantahala Gorge for many years. He was co-owner of Nantahala Rafts and Gorgarama Park, co-owner/salesperson at Wesser Ruby Mine at the Florida State Fair and NC State Fair locations.

Pappaw, you may be out of sight, but you’ll never be gone from my heart.

Until we meet again beyond the mountains and sunsets, we'll never truly be apart.

There will be no service, per Keith's wishes.
