Kathryn Vaughn, 78, of Winder, GA, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, after a period of declining health.

Born in Rabun County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Philo and Maybelle Chastain Neely. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Crawford, Carl, and Bill Neely. Mrs. Vaughn was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church in Highlands, NC. She loved to sew, tend to her flowers, and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Randall Vaughn; three sons, Darwin Vaughn (Kellie) of Baldwin, GA, Derrick Vaughn (Kristi) of Monroe, GA, and Dwayne Vaughn (Alex) of Braselton, GA; and three grandchildren, Tyler, Macey, and Kaylee.

The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm, on Thursday, March 7 at Buck Creek Baptist Church.

The funeral will be at 2pm on Thursday, March 7, at Buck Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Roy Lowe, Rev. Zane Talley and Jamie Passmore will officiate. Burial will be in the Buck Creek Baptist Church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daryl Holland, Ben Weaver, Cord Weaver, Jay Lyke, John Tyre, and Steve Nix.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Buck Creek Baptist Church or Clear Creek Baptist Church.
