Kathleen Simpson Shields, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, at the age of 75. Born in Buffalo, NY on October 28, 1949 she was the daughter of Fred and Audrey Simpson. Kathleen will be remembered for her warm smile, her generous and loving spirit and unwavering love for her family. She dedicated her life to her loved ones, and was always there with a gentle and loving embrace. Her love was unconditional and pure.

Kathleen (Nana) found joy in helping to raise her grandchildren, making crafts, crocheting, sewing, camping on the pontoon boat on the lake, and gardening. She cherished the time spent with her loved ones, and put her loved ones first.

She is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 47 years, Andy Shields. Her children, Stephen (Betsy), Mark (Laura) and Kathryn (Tyler) her grandchildren, Kelsey, Kirsey, Kaleb, Sam, Nicholas, Abram, Andrew, Anna Kate, and four great grandchildren. Additionally, her brother Glenn, and sisters Diane and Laura, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 31st, at Macon Funeral Home from 1-2pm. A celebration of Kathleen's life will be held at 2pm.
