Obituary
Junior McArthur Hurst, 74, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020.
Born in Macon Co, he was the son of the late James McArthur Hurst and Eliza Elliott Hurst. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Bruce and Leon Hurst and grandson, Brandon Hurst. Junior enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by six children, Bennie Hurst of Hurdle Mills, NC, Susan Diane Dryman of Canton, NC, Christopher Wayne McCall of Franklin, John McCall of Franklin, Julie Ann Roberts (James) of Franklin and James McArthur Hurst of Franklin; six brothers and sisters, Richard Hurst of Thomasville, NC, Judy Lawing of Westminster, SC, Patricia Hurst of Franklin, Ruby Collins of Franklin, Evelyn Swafford of Candler, NC and Myrtle Jones of Hiawassee, GA; twenty grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 9th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Don Moffitt will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 5-6:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Prentiss Church of God to help needy families.
