Julie Welch, age 46, of Sylva, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at her residence.

Julie was born in Colorado Springs to the late Michael D. Welch and Delores Janell Phipps Welch.

She spent 14 years as an executive assistant with Jackson County Public Works before her health began to decline.

Julie was a social butterfly who had a heart of gold. She never missed an opportunity to help others- whether it be a person or an animal.

She is survived by her nephew whom she was raising as her son, Triston Welch; twin sister, Leah Welch; brothers, Austin Welch, Mike Welch, and Scott Welch; nephew, Josh Welch; niece, Lexi Sauer; and several great nephews, uncles, and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her feline companion, Cali.

A celebration of Julie's life will take place at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 18, 2025, in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home with the family officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
