Obituary

Judith Snyder Middleton, "Sam", 79, of Franklin, NC, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

She was born in Wilmington, NC to the late Earnest Claude and Hannah Gertrude Snyder. As an Army Brat, she lived in Georgia, Alaska, Japan, Governor's Island, NY, and Vineland, New Jersey where she graduated high school, married, and began her family. She served in the Volunteer Rescue Squad in Minotola, NJ. Years later she moved back to her home state to live in the mountains of North Carolina. She loved reading, gardening, crocheting, and cross stitching. She loved animals, caring for rabbits, cats, corgi's, and the odd racoon or two.

She is survived by her son, Rodman Timothy Middleton (Douglas Rose) of Jersey City, NJ; her two daughters, Terry (Robert) Kline of New Windsor, Md, and Tricia (Alan) Buckner of Franklin, NC; grandchildren, Hannah Pruett of Taneytown, MD, and Rodman Ridge Buckner of Franklin, NC; and her brother James (Linda) Snyder of Cape May Court House, NJ. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life, Saturday, February 24th, at 2pm at the Cowee Volunteer Fire Department, 1309 Ruby Mine Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
