Judith Eileen Higdon, 80, of Franklin, NC, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Judith was born in Pontiac, MI, to the late Eugene and Flora Tennant Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Higdon; and two brothers, Roland Williams and Melvin Williams. She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles Higdon; children, Nancy Bohn (Charles) and Carrie Benway (Anthony); sister, Bonnita Williams; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends Thursday July 25th from 11am-12pm in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 12:30pm at Roper Cemetery. Rev. Gary McCoy will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Charles Bohn, Anthony Benway, Anthony Maschke, Christopher Johnson, Justin Kolodziejczak, and Connor Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Creek Johnson and Bryan Higdon.
