Joyce Buchanan Todd, 70, of Hendersonville, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, after a period of declining health.

Ms. Todd was born on September 22, 1952, in Jackson County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Robert "Perry" and Myrtle Leopard Buchanan. Joyce worked in the automobile repair business for many years at several dealerships in Sylva, NC. She enjoyed hiking, being outdoors and just taking in the beauty of our beautiful mountains and lakes. One thing that she was most proud of was that she completed the Kona, Hawaii Marathon in August of 2000.

Joyce's only daughter, Lana Jo Lambert, preceded her in death; along with one sister, Linda Jane Woodard; and three brothers, Arnold Buchanan, Randall "Willie" Buchanan, and Wayne Buchanan.

She is survived by one sister, Rachel Capps (Tommy) of Hendersonville, NC; one brother, Kenneth Buchanan (Shannon) of Harrisburg, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

No services are currently planned.
