Joyce Ann Taylor, age 81, passed away peacefully at Angel Medical Center on December 1, 2025.

Born on Sept 5th, 1944, in Chester, Pennsylvania, Joyce was the beloved daughter of the late Robert “Doc” Taylor and Lillian Dillard Taylor.

Joyce was a devout Christian whose greatest wish was to serve the Lord. She led several ministry outreach programs and enjoyed volunteering. She was a gifted artist, a talented musician, and loved the thrill of adventures. She always had a creative solution for all of life’s challenges. She left an indelible mark on the hearts of her children and loved ones; she will not soon be forgotten.

She is survived by her five children: Charles Henderson, Jr. of Dillard, GA; Lesley Henderson of Dillard, GA; Michael Henderson of Dillard, GA; Tammy Miller of Franklin, NC; and Rhonda McCarthy of Clayton, GA; and one brother, Bobby Frank Taylor of Clayton, GA. Joyce’s legacy continues through her thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and three nieces and nephews, all of whom brought her immense joy.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at Macon Funeral Home on Friday, December 12th, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Joyce will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and devotion to her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
