Joseph Crosby, age 88, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
Joseph was born in Patterson, Georgia to the late Flemon Crosby and Beatrice Barnard Crosby. He proudly served in the United States Army with the military police.
One of seven children, Joseph was born to sharecroppers and started a long life of hard work plowing behind a mule. He saw the times evolve from a horse and buggy, to life as we know it now. His childhood led him to be a determined adult who never backed down from a challenge.
Joseph will be remembered for his life of the outdoors, his strong love for family, and for his proudest title, Papa Joe.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by a son, Jason Crosby.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Tina Crosby; three children, Michelle Hargrove (Tim), Joseph Crosby, Jr. (Sharon), and Rosina Everitte (David); daughter in law, Ashley; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
