John "Johnny" Galvan was, as he called himself, "Just an Ol' Aircrew Ordie." He was a veteran of the United States Navy who served his country proudly. Even though he was a free spirit, taking orders from very few and living by his own rules, he was a person who was always available if family or friends needed anything. He lived and wanted others to live by his motto, "Just be happy." John was a loving, caring person who doted on his dog, Katie. He was a fantastic photographer who loved driving around the country and taking photographs. Since moving to Franklin, NC, about ten months ago, he had enjoyed sitting and watching deer and turkeys come into the yard. It was a daily pleasure for him, and he had planned to take over feeding them. John, who was born on July 28, 1963, and passed from this life on January 28, 2023, is survived by his children, Andrew Galvan and Kaitlin Galvan; his sister, Cherry Dalpe, and her husband, Dave Dalpe; his nephew, David Jackson; and his girlfriend, Lisa Maria Lowther. "I was blessed to be your sister and spend the last couple of years with you. Brother, you will be missed in my heart, May you find much peace on your Spirit Journey. I love you..." - Cherry No public services are planned. Moffitt Family Funeral Care is honored to serve John's family.
