Obituary
John Ramsey Canfield, 77, of Franklin, NC, passed away on February 24, 2024.
He was born in Newark, New Jersey on October 10, 1946, to the late Frank and Jane Canfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Mae Canfield.
Mr. Canfield served his country in the United States Army. He worked for himself as a long-haul truck driver for many years. One of his favorite quotes was "I've been everywhere man" by Johnny Cash. John enjoyed being around family and friends. He especially enjoyed doing Barbecue for all of his friends. In addition, he loved to hunt, fish, and spend time outdoors. John was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by two sons, John Rupert Canfield of Chattanooga, TN and William Oscar Canfield of Corpus Christi, TX; one brother, Mike Hart of Miami, FL, and one granddaughter, Kylie Silvas, of Corpus Christi, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Four Seasons Hospice in Franklin at 272 Maple Street, Franklin, NC 28734.
