Otto – Joe Dee Scott, 70, peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus at home on September 14th, 2024.

Joe believed in living life to bring the love of Christ to others. He never met a stranger and always chose to see the absolute best in others. He shared whatever God gave him with those in need. Joe was not perfect – he was human, but he was forgiven of his sins when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and son-in-law.

Joe was born in Texas, moving to Miami, Florida as a child. As an adult, he moved to Central Florida where he met his wife, Karyl. They moved to North Carolina in 2001 where they eventually retired after spending 5 years in San Diego, CA.

Three daughters – Jenee (Lawrence) Thomas, Kristie (Gilbert) Rivera, Karrie (V) Ramirez
Ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four nephews and niece, nine great nephews and nieces, and one sister.

A private family viewing at Macon Funeral Home and Celebration of Life on Kinsey Mountain was held on Tuesday September 17th, 2024.
