Joanne A. Kaufman, of Franklin, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

Born in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul G. and Anna Schrader Strayer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Marlin Kaufman; and a brother, Alan Strayer. Joanne was a member of First United Methodist and the Shawl ministry at the church. She enjoyed collecting Hummels, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family.

Joanne is survived by one daughter, Suzanne Younce and husband Granville of Franklin, NC; three grandchildren, Ryan Younce, Rachel Younce Ledford, and Renae Younce, all of Franklin, NC; and one great granddaughter, Oaklyn Grace Younce.
The family will receive friends from 5pm to 6pm on Thursday, November 2 at Macon Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 6:30pm at Iotla Methodist Cemetery. Rev. Jeremy Chapman will officiate.
