Jewell (Judy) Norton Jamison passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025, two weeks after her 94th birthday.

Judy was born in Macon County where she spent most of her life. She was a longtime member of Cowee Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for numerous years. She was a great prayer warrior and if she said she was praying for you, you knew it was true. Judy found great joy in the kitchen, being outdoors, gardening and watching the birds. She had a gift for hospitality and a knack for making people feel welcome. She also had a love for travel, exploring our country's national parks by RV with her husband T.L. in their retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Thomas L. Jamison; parents, Homer Norton and Margie Vinson Norton; sister, Arma Lee Barnes; and brother, Homer P. Norton.

Judy is survived by her three children, Eva Emmrich (Kurt) of Ft. Myers, FL, Loring Jamison of Hayesville, NC, Millie Collins of Travelers Rest, SC; and special nephew, Bob Hunt (Sharon) of Franklin; and several additional nieces and nephews. She was the proud grandmother to three grandchildren, Tamara Blythe (Hans), Lyndsay Hendrickson (Jacob), and Callie Clark (Jeremy); and four great grandchildren, Ivy Blythe, Kent and Eva Clark, and Brendan Jamison Hendrickson.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 22, 2025, in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home with visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

In addition to flowers, memorials may be directed to Cowee Baptist Church Building Fund.
