Jerry Shook, age 79, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024.

Jerry was born in Madison County, North Carolina to the late Hubert Shook and Macie Fender Shook. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Having the ability to talk to anyone, Jerry loved people- especially children and babies.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ethel Rice and Ruth Sutherland; and Fred Shook, Ed Shook, James Shook, and Joe Shook.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Beth Crawford Shook; four children, Allen Shook (Deanette), Christopher Shook (Crissy), Jamie Keener, and Meg Tallant; four grandchildren, Danielle Keener, Zane Keener, Gabby Tallant, and Ian Shook; great grandson, Oliver Wilson; brother and sisters, Ned Shook, Noreen Beard, and Frances Revis; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
