Jerry Troy Mason, 66, of Scaly Mtn, NC, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

He was the son of the late Robert “Bob” and Anna Belle Miller Mason and a Scaly Mtn. native. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Hooton Mason; siblings, Ellis Mason, Eugene Mason, Joyce Mason Highfield, and Hal Mason and two infant siblings, He attended Scaly Mountain Church of God. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his daughter, Carlene McCall (Matt); brothers, Leroy Mason (Mary), Wayne Mason (Jonnie Mason); two grandchildren, Celsey Bolick (Justin), Anthony Gilliam (Alexis); one great granddaughter, Lucy Bolick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Scaly Mountain Church of God on Saturday, February 14th from 1-2pm. A celebration of life will be held at 2pm. Pastor Donald Bates will officiate.
