Jean Morgan, 91, of Franklin, went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2024. She was born in Haywood County on March 6, 1933, to the late Judd and Hattie Trantham.

She was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of Watauga Baptist Church. She loved to cook for her family and her church family as well. One of her favorite things was spending time with her family and time especially with the grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She also loved to sew and had made dresses for family weddings. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Morgan, and a son Timothy Morgan.

She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Bowling; two sons, Joe Morgan (Edna), and Marc Morgan (Patti); daughter in law, Freda Morgan; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 5, at 2:00 at Watauga Baptist Church. Pastor Thomas James and Wesley Price will officiate. Burial will follow at the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm prior to the service.

The grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
