James C. Inman, age 81, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025 following a lengthy illness.
James was born in Jefferson County, Tennessee to the late Garland Inman and Louise Carter Inman.
James served four years in the United States Air Force and continued serving his country as a C-130 flight line mechanic at Lockheed Martin in Marietta. It was there where he went into the dining hall for a cranberry juice and would meet the woman he would marry a few years later.
He is survived by his wife, June Garrison Inman; step son, Mark Wells (Donna); "my grandchild," Maddie Wells; sister, Wanda Gillenwater; sister in law, Jewel Parker; nephews, Eb Gillenwater and Shaun Parker (Crystal); and great nieces and great nephews, Savannah Parker, Kandice Parker, Cassidy Parker, and Lance Parker.
The family will receive friends from 5-6:00 P.M. Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Macon Funeral Home. A service will follow the visitation in the chapel at 6 with the Post 108 Franklin American Legion and VFW Honor Guard rendering honors at the beginning of the service.
A graveside service will take place at 12 noon Friday, May 2 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Dandridge, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Post 108 Franklin American Legion and VFW Honor Guard.
