Jack Lehtinen, 73, of Franklin passed away Monday, April 29, 2019.

Born in Waukegan, IL, he was the son of the late Heimo Lehtinen and Thelma Wisari Lehtinen. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sylva for 20 years. He enjoyed woodworking, serving and teaching in the Catholic faith, and loving his family.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sherry Lehtinen; children, Bonny Dodge (Tony), Mike Lehtinen (Lynn), and Jeannie Lehtinen; grandchildren, Lacey Batista, Christian Houston, Andrew Houston, Peter Dodge, Mary Dodge, Margaret Dodge, Elizabeth Dodge, Kristine Dodge and John Dodge.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, May 4 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sylva. Father Casey Coleman will officiate.

A Rosary Service will be held at 6 pm, Friday, May 3 at Macon Funeral Home with a visitation to follow until 8 pm.
