Jack Dillard, 95, of Franklin went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 25, 2023.

Jack was the son of the late Ralph Dillard, Eva Beasley Dillard, and Edith Dillard Bryson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ellis, Ben, and Jerry Dillard. He was a member of Cowee Baptist Church and a former volunteer for The Franklin Fire Dept. He retired as the A&P Manager, and everyone remembers seeing his smiling face.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Bobbie Franklin; daughter, Judy Lightner (Richard) of Franklin; son, Jack L Dillard (Diane) of Franklin; four sisters, Sandy Deitz, Elaine Morgan, Cereeta Buchanan, Patsy Stevens, all of Sylva, NC; two brothers, Ricky and Gary Dillard of Sylva, NC; seven grandchildren, Danielle Lightner Winslow, David Lightner, Mac Dillard-deceased, Olivia Brooks, Alex Dillard, Caroline McCall, Clark Dillard; eight great grandchildren, Dominik, Victoria, Jacob, Grady, Henry, Hattie, Tillie, and Ava.

Mr. Dillard requested a celebration of life focusing on honoring his Lord. The service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, October 15th at Cowee Baptist Church. Rev. Jason Smith will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cowee Baptist Cemetery Fund.
