Hubert "Hugh" Lee Brown Jr, 54, of Franklin, NC, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Hugh was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Lee Brown Sr. He was a member of Cowee Baptist Church. He liked to read about the love of Christ and share the gospel. Hugh was a man of the community that never met a stranger. Although his loved ones have peace knowing he is in the presence of our perfect savior, he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Andreana Brown; mother, Virginia Sue Crawford; daughter, Dayani Brown; son, Devin Brown; sister, Meliza Brown; brother, Eric Crawford; niece, Amber Brown; and one grandchild.

A celebration of life will be held at Cowee Baptist Church on Friday, August 1st at 11am. Rev. Jason Smith will officiate.

Following the service, the family would like to invite everyone to stay and share a meal together. In most families, it's tradition to gather after a funeral to remember, to laugh, and to be together. Hugh's family shared that this church and community were his family, and they want to include you in that time.

If you would like to bring a covered dish, please drop it off at the covered entrance of the church before the service. We hope you'll plan to stay and break bread together following the service.
