Harve “Reggie” Reginald Vanhook, 77, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026. He was born on November 5, 1948, in Macon County to the late Harve John Vanhook and Ruby Justice.

Reggie served his country in the United States Army from May 1968 until March 1969. Following his military service, he dedicated 30 years of hard work to Nantahala Power Company, where he built a life through commitment and perseverance.

On June 25, 1993, he married the love of his life, Linda Watts. Together they shared many years of love, companionship, and treasured memories.

Reggie was one of seven children and was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He leaves behind his son, Chris Jones (Jasmine); his daughter, Libby Luedeke (Jerry); his grandchildren, Tyler Jones (Sam), Noah Jones, and Jimmy Luedeke; and his great-grandchildren, Coralyn and Callen Jones.

He loved fishing, camping, and above all, spending time with his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. Reggie will be remembered for his love of family, his quiet strength, and the many memories he created with those who loved him.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
