Harold Robert Stevens "Bob" 60, of Franklin NC passed away on July 10, 2025. Born in Mecklenburg County NC he grew up in South Africa with his missionary family and since 1975 lived full time in Western NC.

Fondly referred to as "Bob" by family, his late parents were Rev. Harold J. Stevens and Josephine Stevens of Swannanoa NC and later Griffin GA. Preceded also in death by grandparents Rev. Ralph Mumpower and Althea Mumpower of Swannanoa NC. Also preceded in death grandparents Rex Stevens and Bertie Stevens of Grantham NC. Bob is survived by his sister Becky Stevens-Grobbelaar and brother-in-law Christo Grobbelaar of Cornelia GA.

Bob worked in the IT software development industry and most recently for Drake Enterprises in Franklin NC. He was known for his love of the Blue Ridge Mountains, often camping, hiking and canoeing in the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounding National Parks. Bob was a talented self taught cook, was the "life of the party", enjoyed a good debate exercising his depth of knowledge and his passion for robust conversation! He is loved and is deeply missed.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
