Gwendolyn Nelson Ward "Nene", 74, of Franklin NC, passed away Wednesday, April 30,2025.
Gwendolyn was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Guy and Nona Mae Shepard Nelson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Ward. She loved cooking, baking, and fishing. She enjoyed spending time and her grocery store trips with her favorite granddaughter, Destiny Hardy. She also loved her dogs.
She is survived by her daughters, Christina Tobey of Hendersonville, NC; Christal Estes (James) of Franklin; sons, Carl Sheline (Joy) of Port St Joe, FL, Cory Sheline (Lisa) of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Destiny Hardy, Sklyar Estes, of Franklin, Brian Tobey, Christopher Tobey, Zoey Greer of Hendersonville, NC, Sylvia Henderson, Carl Sheline IV of Port St Joe, FL, Breanna Wright of Clanton, AL, Bryar Sheline of Griffin, GA; and niece, Gina Latham (Steve) of Norcross, GA.
