Gregory "Greg" Douglas Hoover, 69 of Franklin, North Carolina went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 10, 2026.

Greg was born June 21, 1956, in Washington D.C., to the late George and Carol Hoover. He was a retired paramedic/firefighter with 20 years of service in Clearwater, Florida. Greg loved spending time with his family, especially his grand and great grand babies. He loved being a Grandpa. Grilling and smoking meats was his specialty, low and slow. You could find him by the grill or riding his tractor during the summertime. He loved helping other's. He has always seen the good in people.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his stepmother, Kathy Hoover; a son Douglas "Dougie" Hoover; and granddaughter, Sarah Yon.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Hoover; sons, Robert Martinez, Peyton Yon, Christopher Hoover (Ashley), Daniel Hoover ( Michelle), and Noah Hoover; daughters Carol Hoover (Kevin), and Laura Hoover; stepsons, Aaron Rabin(Amanda) and Ed Rabin(Melinda ); a brother, Richard Hoover; grandchildren, Shelby, Samantha, Kyle, Omar, Adam, Estella, Jett, Tyler, Benjamin, Aubrey, Kaleigh, Luke, Leon, Octavia, Kaye-ann, Haley, and Jacob along with three step grandchildren Eleanor, Hudson and William; five great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and family.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
