Gonzalo Barriga Lemus, 49, of Franklin, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

He has lived in the Franklin area for over 24 years. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Franklin. He loved his job as a roofer, but his favorite thing was watching his son play sports. He was very supportive of all his son's sports activities; football, track, soccer, and basketball. He never met a stranger and loved to travel with his friends and family.

He is survived by his son, Antonio Barriga; siblings, Martha Barriga, Josefa Barriga, Epifanio Barriga, Aurelio Barriga, Pricilla Barriga, Teresa Barriga; and godsons, Luis Torres and Kevin Torres.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 9th, from 4-11:30pm at Macon Funeral Home. A mass will be held on Friday, October 10th, at 4pm at St Francis of Assisi. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
