Gerald R. Owen, 84, of Franklin, passed away Monday, November 11, 2013.
Born in Danville, VA, he was the son of the late Jessie Owen and Sarah Moxley Owen. Gerald was a US Air Force veteran and served during the Korean conflict. He worked 20 years as an electrician for the University of Central Florida and was a member of First Christian Church of Franklin.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Owen; two children, Deborah Owen of San Antonio, TX and Jeff David Owen of Oviedo, FL and five grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Minister Henry Puckett will officiate. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, FL.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
