George Thomas Ramsey, Jr., 73, of Franklin, passed away April 18, 2008.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late George Thomas Ramsey, Sr. and Texie Justice Ramsey.

He is survived by four children, Clinton Ramsey of Franklin, George Dennis Ramsey and Donald Marvin Ramsey both of Candler, NC and Verna Kay Blackwell of Inman, SC; one sister, Lillie Mae Fuller of Candler; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 21, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Alton Dendy and Rev. Gary McCoy will officiate. Burial will be in the Tellico Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Bryson, David Christopher, James Waldroop, J.D. Franks, Joe Erwin and Dennis Ramsey, Jr.

Memorial donations may be made to the Tellico Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
