George J. Kapec, 92, of Franklin, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013.
Born in Nanticoke, PA, he was the son of the late George Kapec and Anna Merva Kapec. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Kapec who died in 2006 and a brother, John Hauduck and sister, Anna McCrory. George was a US Army veteran and served during WWII. He was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Hallandale, FL.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda Lampkin and husband Rufus of Franklin and Barbara Pettesch and husband Paul of Chesterfield, VA; two brothers, Joe Kapec of Florida and Andy Kapec of Stafford, VA; sister, Irene Yenshaw of Bethlehem, PA; two grandchildren, Adam and George Pettesch and several nieces and nephews.
No local services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to one's favorite charity.
