Gary A. St. Arnauld departed this life on Sunday, July 13, 2025, after a period of declining health. He was a resident of Franklin, NC and Vero Beach, FL.

Gary was born on February 28, 1952, in Plymouth, New Hampshire to Bertha and Dona St. Arnauld. His family lived in Ashland, NH, and Gary attended Ashland public schools, graduating in 1970. He was president of his graduating class and a three-sport athlete. He was on teams that won state championships in all three sports. Gary attended Plymouth State College and graduated Cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1974.

In 1980 Gary and Judi moved to Baltimore where he joined the Motorcycle Safety Foundation as Director of Licensing and was a consultant to motor vehicle departments throughout the United States. He assisted states in improving their motorcycle licensing programs through legislation, providing motorcycle operator manuals and written tests and upgrading their motorcycle skill tests.

In 1985, Gary changed careers and became an adjuster and later a claims manager and litigation specialist for the Progressive Insurance Company and was in charge of offices from Jacksonville to West Palm Beach. In 1995, he joined the Nationwide Insurance Company as a claims manager and litigation specialist. Gary's last job was with the law firm of Farah and Farah and worked in their Jacksonville headquarters as a case manager and case manager director.
Gary retired in 2015 and he and Judi moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains in SW North Carolina where he spent most of his time as Supervisor of Building and Grounds for All Saints Episcopal Church, playing in a local pickle ball league and got involved with local and statewide politics. He was the Chair of the Macon County Democratic Party for six years, an active Rotarian for more than 30 years, serving as President of the Royal Palm Beach Club in 1999 and as an assistant governor to five District Governors.

Gary loved to travel and visited all 50 states, worked on Rotary projects in several countries, attended Rotary International conferences on three continents and made several overseas trips.

Gary is survived by his wife, Judi Astles St. Arnauld, whom he met in 1980 while working for the NH Department of Safety. They were married in Kauai, Hawaii on May 23, 1987. They enjoyed traveling, particularly their frequent trips to New Hampshire to visit family and friends as well as many cruises to the Caribbean.
