Gail Sargent Motley, 78, of Otto, NC, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019.
Born in Miami, FL, she was the daughter of the late George M. Sargent and Myra Edna Evans Sargent. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Charles Motley who died July 30, 2009; brother, Rodney Sargent and sister, Janice Horne. Gail retired as a supervisor from Southern Bell Telephone Company. She was an active member of First Alliance Church where she was a member of the Women's Prayer Group and a former deaconess. Gail enjoyed flowers and animals, but above all she loved the Lord and her family.
She is survived by her children, Shelise Phillips (Clay) of Dallas, GA and Charles Motley II (Tammy Keezer) of Franklin; sister, Marilyn Goble (Bob) of Ela, TX; three grandchildren, Zee Keezer, Drew Bishop and Tori Bishop; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Scott Eichelberger will officiate. Burial will be in Rush Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jim Steeley, Terry Wilkes, Phil Drake, David Hodgin, and Stuart Sloan.
