Franklin Robert Turnbach, 81, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013.

Born in Sugarloaf, PA, he was the son of the late Oswald and Ada Shiner Turnbach. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Theodore Turnbach. Franklin retired from Florida Gas Transmission where he worked as a heavy equipment operator; he was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, the Elks Oakland Park, FL Lodge and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially camping and with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eleanor Mae Letcher Turnbach; four children, Patricia Peavy (Merrell) and Charlotte Balmer (Bill) both of Franklin and Joseph Turnbach (Mary) and Michael Turnbach (Marcia) both of Sunrise, FL; sister, June Blamey of Conyngham, PA; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 2, at Resurrection Lutheran Church. Pastor John Brunner will officiate.
