Frank H. Mason, 90, of Franklin went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 20, 2014.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Dan and Ida Hastings Mason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Julia Chastain and Sarah Hastings of Rabun, GA; four brothers, Earl, Woodrow, J.R. (Bud) and Wymer Mason of Franklin and adopted grandson, Mike Ledford. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he was a deacon for 60 years. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing the banjo at church.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Rebecca Ledford Mason. One daughter Gwenda Sue Mason of Franklin; sister-in-law, Maggie Mason of Franklin; adopted grandchildren, Larry Ledford, Bobby Ledford and wife Christa, Ronnie Ledford and wife Brandy, Barbara Stiles and husband David; seven adopted great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Rev. Frank Rodriguez, Rev. Bobby Cloer, Rev. Bill Faulkner and Rev. David Hastings will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Sammy Hastings, Doug Mason, Tommy Chastain, Jack Mason, Gary Mason, Danny Mason, Dwight Carpenter and Bobby Ledford.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
