Marguerite Elaine Whitaker Moffitt, 76, of Franklin, NC, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026.

She was a native of Macon County, NC, and was the daughter of the late Alex Lee and Helen Cunningham Whitaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lynda Rothwell. She loved gameshows, crocheting, Lays chips, Coca Cola, the Atlanta Braves, and most of her family.

She is survived by her children, Cory Davis, Apryl Reese (Gammar), Joshua Moffitt; grandchildren, Bailey Miller, Hawk Davis, Davis Moffitt, Nona Reese, Micah Reese; nieces, Melissa, Shelley (Jeremy), Allison(Jonathan); and lifelong friends, Deborah Kernan and Karen Gribble.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, March 12th, from 10-11am at Macon Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 11am in the Chapel.
