Obituary
Earl "Roger" Gibson, 70, of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023.
Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Fred and Luvenia West Gibson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lee, Thomas, and Harold Gibson. Roger worked many years for Ledbetter Tire. He enjoyed collecting coins and coon hunting. He was a member of the Macon County Coon Hunters Association.
Roger is survived by two brothers, Billy Gibson of Franklin, and Charlie Gibson of Hendersonville, NC; and one sister, Brenda Doomis of Waynesville, NC. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, August 31, at 2pm in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Bishop Adam West will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2pm, thirty minutes prior to the service.
