Doris Ann Price, 92, of Franklin, NC, gained her wings on Monday, May 6, 2024.

Doris was born in White Plains, NY, to the late Ted and Doris McGuiness Reber. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands; Wyand Doerner Jr in 1967 and William Price in 2002; son, W.F. (Chip) Doerner III; brothers, Ted Reber Jr., and David Reber; sister, Judy Reber. She moved to Franklin in 1983 from Cumberland, Maryland. She was a member of St Francis Catholic Church of Franklin. She was a graduate of Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans in 1952. After retiring from being a registered nurse and raising her family of seven children, she volunteered at Angel Hospital and the Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Lady Auxiliary, and the Alumni Association of Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans, LA.

She led a long life of love and generosity of spirit, and despite some occurrences of tragedy and loss, she always maintained a collected poise and positive attitude. She will be remembered for her constant smiles!

She is survived by her children, David Doerner of Mobile AL; R.M. "Mike" Doerner (Amanda) of Dallas, GA, Anne Marie Doerner of Ciudad Constitucion, Mexico, Frederick Price of New York, Thomas Price of Baltimore, and Daniel Price of Franklin.

Service to be held at the funeral home Monday, May 13, 11am and a graveside burial service thereafter at St. John's Episcopal in Cartoogechaye.
