Obituary
Doris Mae Luke Brock, 81, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014.
Born in Alapaha, GA, she was the daughter of the late Moses Jacob Luke and Mandy Louvenia Barksdale Luke. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred James Brock who died July 29, 1981; three sisters, Clarice Witt, Ann White and Virginia Hendley and a brother, Dorsey Luke. Doris was a teacher for handicap children. She moved to Franklin from Helen, Georgia in 1992.
She is survived by two daughters, Winifred "Winnie" Lorraine McLeod of Franklin and Elizabeth Yvonne "Polly" Martin of Hendersonville; four grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 5th at Spring Hill Christian Church, Ochlocknee, GA. Rev. Timothy Staton will officiate.
Memorial donations can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or flowers sent to Spring Hill Christian Church,7186 Maddox Road, Ochlocknee, GA 31773.
