Diane Houston Hooper, 68, of Franklin, NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

She was born on March 15, 1957, in Marieta, GA, she was the youngest daughter of Herman C. and Bonnie W. Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Furman Houston; sister, Lois Downs; brother-in-law, Edward Downs; sister-in-law, Judy Houston; a nephew Tony Downs, and niece Sheila Houston. She leaves behind her husband, the love of her life and best friend. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She worked 20 years at Belden Electric cord and started another career as a Personal Housekeeper in Highlands, NC until her death.

She was a member of Walnut Creek Baptist Church, held many church offices and planned many activities for children. She enjoyed making crafts, traveling, and cruising with her husband. She provided a loving home to all her precious cats.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Hooper; brother, Ray Houston of Woodstock, GA; three sisters: Louise Rogers (Wade), Mary Ann McConnell (Harley), Freda Gibson (Isaac); many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-2pm on Tuesday, September 2nd, at Macon Funeral Home. A funeral Service will be held at 2pm in the Chapel. Rev. Don Moffitt and Rev. Stacy Woods will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jason McConnell, Shannon McConnell, Eddie Downs, Chris Gerber, Tommy Woods, and Darrin Holland. Honorary pallbearers will be her great nephews.
