Denise "Gail" Wooten, 85, of Franklin, NC, passed away on October 20, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

Gail was born in Miami, Florida to the late Ross and Joyce Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Harris. She moved to Franklin from Longwood, FL, twenty-three years ago. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Franklin and was very involved in the church. She loved to garden (she had a green thumb), sitting on the porch admiring the mountains and watching the birds was her favorite things. Most of all, she loved being a grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert Wooten; daughters, Jeannine Douce, Robin Kelley (Greg), Vicki Wooten; grandchildren, Jessica Cauley (Trey), Mathew Douce (Angela); great grandchildren, Jadan Perkins, Lilly Paige Douce, Nolan Cason Douce; and brother Danny Harris.

A private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
